Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was severely attacked with a knife by an intruder in the early hours of January 16 and the nurse staff at his residence in her statement with the police revealed that she was the first one who encountered the armed attacker who asked for Rs 1 crore from Khan which led to a scuffle.711bet

The 54-year-old received six stab injuries, including in his neck, spinal cord and hands is out of danger following an emergency surgery at the Lilavati Hospital where he was taken around 2:30 am yesterday night. Reportedly, Khan is still in ICU and will be moved out in next few days based on his recovery procedure and earlier today, the doctors in their statement assured 100 per cent recovery for the actor post-surgery.

The entire family - Khan, his wife, fellow star Kareena Kapoor, and their two sons, four-year-old Jeh and eight-year-old Taimur - were home in the 12th floor apartment along with their five house helps. In a statement to the police, Khan's younger son Jeh’s nanny Eliyama Philip first encountered the armed attacker and said that he had asked for Rs 1 crore.

The incident, which sent shockwaves through Mumbai and elsewhere and highlighted the vulnerability of even well-guarded celebrities, led to reactions from across all sectors.

Opposition leaders said even celebrities were not safe in India's financial capital and blamed Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who holds the home portfolio, for failing to maintain law and order.

CM Fadnavis responded by saying that the attack was serious but it would be incorrect to call Mumbai unsafe.

CCTV Footage Reveals Attacker's Face

Police are examining the CCTV footage that showed the face of the intruder who allegedly attacked actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra apartment with a knife before he escaped through the staircase.

The footage was captured at 2.33 am on Thursday and clearly showed the young suspect's face. He was seen wearing a brown collared t-shirt and red scarf or `gamcha' while descending the stairs on the sixth floor of the building.

A screen grab of the intruder's face as he glanced at the CCTV camera went viral.

Police were examining the footage of the entire building premises to get more clues, an official told PTI.

Several teams have been formed to nab the suspect, he added.

Besides local police, the crime branch too is conducting a probe.

Staff nurse at the house of actor Saif Ali Khan, Eliyama Philip in her statement with the police said that the intruder first entered the room of Saif and Kareena Kapoor-Khan's younger son Jeh.

As per Philip, she woke up around 2 am after hearing a sound in Jeh's room and found the bathroom light on.

Philip had given dinner to Jeh on Wednesday night and put him to sleep around 11pm. She too slept on the floor in the same room along with a nanny.

PTI quoted Philip's statement from the police records and it said, "I sat up to see who was in the bathroom when I saw a short, thin man come out and move towards Jeh's bed. I immediately stood up."

The man pointed a finger at her and said in Hindi, "Koi Awaaz Nahi (don't make any sound)."

"I still walked towards Jeh to wake him up. The man had a wooden stick in his left hand and in his right hand he had a long, hacksaw-like blade. He rushed towards me," Phillip reportedly said.

"In the scuffle, he attacked me with the blade. I got hurt on my wrist. I asked him what he wants. He said he wants money and he needs Rs 1 crore," said Philip, who has been working with the Khan couple for four years, in her statement.

The nanny raised an alarm, and Saif and Kareena ran to the hall where the intruder and the two women were now standing.

On the other hand, South Korea secured their first win of the tournament with a 3-2 victory over China. Goals from Hyeonhong, Junghoo, and Jihun (55') clinched the win for their side.

China got off to a positive start as they kept the ball under control, and made it difficult for the Koreans to break through.

"The intruder attacked Saif. All the other staff of the house too came running," the statement said.

Phillip and others ran out of the room in panic as the intruder scuffled with Saif. When they went back, the main door was open and the intruder was gone.

As per the complaint, the intruder was around 35 to 40 years old.

Other Details Of The Probe So Far

A First Information Report was subsequently registered at Bandra police station on the domestic help's complaint under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 311 (robbery with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 312 (armed robbery), 331 (4) (house break-in or trespass at night) and other relevant provisions, officials said.

The actor's representatives, in a media statement, said it was a "burglary attempt."

As per the preliminary probe, the intruder did not force entry or break into the actor's flat in `Satguru Sharan' building, but possibly sneaked in at some point earlier in the night, a police official said.

Khan's house-help, who raised initial alarm711bet, also suffered a minor knife injury during the incident, police said.
