MANILA, Philippines — Law enforcers rescued a child from the hands of a man in a tension-filled hostage situation that took place in Taytay, Rizal on Saturday evening.
According to Taytay Mayor Allan de Leon, the hostage taker is now in the custody of the Philippine National Police.
Article continues after this advertisement“Under the leadership of our Provincial Director Philip Maragun, Taytay Police Chief Marlo Solero, and the task force multiplier, the hostage situation was successfully resolved, and the child was rescued safely,” De Leon said in Filipino in a Facebook post.
